100 Free Startup Methods is a free guide to the first stretch of building a company: from a raw idea to the first customer who pays. It is made by Fe/male Switch, a startup game and online incubator for women entrepreneurs founded by Violetta Bonenkamp, where players validate a startup idea step by step with an AI co-founder.

Why does it exist?

First-time founders get flooded with advice and very little of it says what to do on a Tuesday afternoon with no budget. This directory answers that question 100 times: each page is one method with exact steps, a worked example, the free tools that help and the mistakes to avoid.

How were the methods chosen?

The list follows the order in which a new startup meets its problems: find a problem, check demand, talk to customers, build a no-code prototype, set a price, launch, get found, grow on social media, reach out to partners and measure what works. Every method had to pass two tests: you can do it with free tools, and you can do it without writing code.

How are pages checked and updated?

• Facts about tools and platforms (rules, free plans, how a feature works) are checked against the official source when a page is written or updated.
• We do not invent statistics or customer stories. Worked examples use clearly made-up founders, and numbers we suggest are labelled as rules of thumb.
• Every page shows when it was last updated. The whole directory was rewritten in October 2026, replacing the earlier one-page version from 2025.
• No tool pays to be listed.
