Stage 8 of 10 · from idea to first customer

Grow on social media and in communities

Show up where your customers already spend time, and build a small group that cares about what you make.

Pick the one or two platforms your customers already use and become a familiar, helpful name there. LinkedIn for B2B, TikTok and Instagram for many consumer products, Reddit and Discord for niche hobbies and tech.

Then give your earliest fans a place to meet: a group, a server or a chat. A small community that talks to you every week is worth more than thousands of silent followers.

What you should have at the end of this stage

A steady posting rhythm on one or two platforms and a small community of early users you can ask, test with and sell to.
